RE: Restaurant Positions (Gumbo) (Worcester)
BE WARY WHEN APPLYING!I worked for the same owner at the Flip Flops restaurant. He is a HORRIBLE guy to work for! Disrespectful, RUDE, and he lies. He would yell swears at the servers because the KITCHEN was backed up or because the servers were putting in 'too many orders'. When he tells you to do something, and you do it, he yells at you for doing it because he doesn't remember telling you to do it! The girl who trained me to work was fired because she didn't give the customer change of $.12, and the customer didn't care, but apparently the owner did! He FINDS the most absurd reasons to fire people! On top of that, on busy nights he would sit at the bar and get drunk with his friends, then his wife would have to pick him up and take him home. It's his own restaurant, and he can do as he wishes, but would you want to work for a guy who does that every weekend?
I'm not saying don't apply, everyone needs money right now. But I also want you to know what you are getting into when applying. I worked there about 6 months. When I left I found a better job, but miss working as a server and want to do it again part time. I almost applied but did a little research and will no longer be applying.
Good Luck and wish you the best!
