METER CUT IN/CUT OUT WORKERS (NATIONWIDE)
We are seeking hard working, motivated, experienced Meter Cut In/ Out workers to join our team in preparation of a labor dispute.Pay Rate: $18 per hour -- we generally work an 84hr work week.
Perdiem: $35 per day -- this is paid biweekly on payroll.
Travel to the site and back home at the completion of the assignment is provided.
DEPARTMENT: ELECTRIC METER
DUTIES: Under general directive supervision of electric meter working foreman.
Performs variable customer service duties by making cut-ins and cut-outs in servicing the
customer's installation, reads meter, and as required, assists journeyman in similar and related
duties. (Incumbent does not use lineman's climbing tools in cutting out or reading meters at the
pole.)
Makes "special reads" on meters by request of Billing Section.
Obtains information from installed meters pertaining to meter number and kilowatt-hour reading
on cut-in and cut-out work orders.
Checks installation of meter for safe conditions and determines if electricity is available and
going through the meter properly.
Assists in servicing customer complaints by checking noisy meters, poor grounds, sockets not
properly wired, checks fuses for light, and radio or television distractions, etc.
Conducts all duties in a safe manner in accordance with established safety standards, must be
proficient in the application of first aid to injured persons when necessary.
Performs other related and assigned duties.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Prior experience with verifiable resume
• Must be able to pass prehire and random drug of abuse testing
• Must be able to pass a prehire, 7 year criminal history and MVR check
• Must be physically capable to pass medical requirements set by client for position(s)
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• If assignment outside area, able to be away from home for multiple weeks.
• Able to travel by airplane (company pays cost of ticket)
• Able to work up to 12 hour days, 7 days per week if need be
• Able to work any shift; days, nights, weekends, holidays
• Able to work in all types of environments; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors
• Adhere to strict safety practices
• Agree to complete any employment training programs & assessments
• Able to pass pre-employment drug and criminal background screen
• Able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods
• Normal use of senses
