Lions Gate Hotel is looking for experienced Part Time Banquet Staff Servers & Banquet Set up Staff.

Applicants must have at least 3 - 5 years experience in an upscale restaurant or banquet facility.

• Excellent references are required and will be verified
• Nights & Weekend availability required
• Anyone with less than 3 year experience will not be considered

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Prepares for service. Duties include, but are not limited to: stocking supplies; setting up stations, side stations and service areas; and performing any other assigned side work or related set-up tasks.

2. Provides food and beverage, and hospitality service. Duties include, but are not limited to: providing immediate attention to guests upon arrival; taking and delivering beverage and food; offering hors d'oeuvre service; assisting in seating guests; keeping tables clean; removing used china, silver, and linen; replenishing water, butter, bread, wine, and other items as needed. Attending to guest needs as they arise and advising supervisors of any guest concerns.

3. Knowledge of food and beverage products and service. Duties include, but are not limited to knowing: preparation method, time of preparation, and service standards, procedures and service systems of the establishment.

4. Cleans up after service. Duties include, but are not limited to: cleaning all assigned work areas in the banquet and meeting / ballrooms; clearing all dirty china, glassware, silverware, and linen; resetting and preparing dining areas for the next shift; stocking supplies; and performing clean-up and closing duties as may be assigned by management or supervisors.

5. Supports co-workers and management in facilitating the goals and objectives of the establishment. Duties include, but are not limited to: attending pre-meal shifts, training sessions, and staff meetings as scheduled by management; providing assistance to other operating departments as needed; and taking on other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned


Schedule and Reporting:
The exact shifts and days that a Banquet Server / Banquet Set up will be scheduled will vary from week to week according to the needs of our operation.
A Banquet server /Banquet set up reports directly to the Assistant Banquet Manager or Banquet Captain.

Uniform:
A Banquet Server / Banquet Setup persons will be provide his or her own (2) Blue shirts, (1) black tie, & (1) apron

A Banquet Server / Banquet Setup persons must supply their own black socks, black shoes & black pants as specified in the Employee Handbook.
At all times be conservative, professional, and appropriate to the establishment decorum. Other appearance standards are covered in the Employee Handbook.

THE POSITION

- Maintain integrity of the selection process

MANAGEMENT
- Monitor activity and results of the leadership team and hold members accountable for their particular recruiting roles and responsibilities
- Participate in company and industry training programs working to improve the recruiting & selection skills of the entire leadership team
- Oversee the efficiency of the network office selection process
- Create and execute an annual development plan that enhances personal, professional, and network office growth

MISCELLANEOUS
- Develop programs/contests as needed to enhance recruiting results
- Oversee daily maintenance of database for all recruiting and selection activity of the Network Office
- Report summary of all activity to Managing Partner weekly
- Ensure utilization of corporate office ('Home Office') provided software to maintain accurate records and efficiently move candidates through the selection process
- Lead and facilitate regular (weekly, monthly and quarterly) meetings with the leadership team and ensure necessary reports are provided
- Maintain sufficient inventory of all recruiting materials and supplies
- Provide ongoing support for recruiting & selection efforts of other leadership team members

Qualification Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree required, Advanced degree preferred
- Five years progressively responsible recruitment, sales and/or management experience
- Strong communication skills required with the ability to build rapport and influence others
