JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Event Operations Manager is responsible for scheduling and supervising the Event Services, Guest Services and Public Safety staff.
JOB SCOPE &ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Primary Accountabilities
Event Services
o Ensure timely and precise set-up of all events
o Maintain all janitorial services for the facility both during events and for off hour cleaning projects
o Provide on-site leadership and consultation for all event operation activities, especially during non-business hours (nights, weekends, holiday's, etc.)
o Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure service levels are maintained
Guest Services
o Function as Front of House Manager for the Civic Auditorium. Duties include, but not limited to staffing of security, monitoring of ushers, providing high level service to patrons, etc.
Public Safety
o Ensure proper accident/incident reports and workers' compensation reports are completed accurately
o Notify Event Operations Manager, Director of Facility Operations, and Director of Human Resources of any injuries incurred by PCOC employees and/or the public
o Liaison with representatives of local government to ensure coordination of facility activities with law enforcement, EMS and firefighting agencies
Overall Responsibilities that apply to all respective areas
o Conduct interviews and hire staff for all positions
o Conduct new hire orientations
o Ensure that all operations staff is properly trained in the correct operation of all equipment and positions
o Conduct inventory checks of all equipment on a quarterly basis
o Prepare all staff schedules in a manner that provides for necessary coverage and appropriate efficiency
o Prepare payroll reports and labor schedules
o Develop requisitions for all supplies for the Event Operations Manager approval
o Prepare invoices based on man hours for submission to Event Managers and Director of Finance
o Make recommendations for equipment and inventory purchases for the Event Operations Manager approval
o Ensure that all levels of service are met in all areas

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training:
Certified in CPR, First Aid and AED (Instructor Preferred)
Current Guard Card Preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Specific knowledge of event set-up
Specific knowledge of Theatre operations especially in front of house staffing
Familiarity with Convention and Tradeshow operations with emphasis on appropriate security staffing levels
Knowledge of computer programs - Excel and Word
Work Experience:
2 year degree preferred
Minimum of 3 years of directly related experience
Minimum of 2 years ofsupervisory experience
Minimum of 2 years of public safety experience

• Engage potential customers, make phone calls, present to local organizations, homeowners associations, property management groups, and local businesses
• Organize 3-5 informational solar seminars per week for homeowners throughout the region
• Responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of multiple weekly events including: logistics coordination with the event venue, suppliers, arranging the program schedule, scheduling SolarCity speakers, selecting menus, monitoring all event deadlines, troubleshooting and assist with set up
• Create and distribute marketing materials (invitations, flyers, advertisements, etc.)
• Compile PR materials including fact sheets, pitch letters, Q&A's, FAQ's, testimonial sheets, and press releases
• Maintain marketing kits with all necessary SolarCity materials and samples used for events
• Assist managers to set objectives, timeline, and budget appropriately.
• Responsible for post-event evaluations, logistics, client satisfaction and ROI.
• The Field Marketing Coordinator will have the opportunity to receive a performance bonus, based on leads and sales generated from events and activities.
The ideal candidate must have the following skills and qualifications:
• At least two years of experience working in a marketing support or event planning capacity
• Strong project management skills: ability to multi-task, work within deadlines, solve problems
• Preferred by not required: Previous vendor management and negotiation experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with varied marketing approaches and sales cold calling helpful
• Ability to work under pressure and in a hectic environment, flexible work hours (may require some nights/weekends)
• Strong work ethic and highly detail oriented
• Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office, internet browsing, basic graphic design capabilities (Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, or similar). CRM knowledge a plus.

An Activity Leader will be responsible for organizing and leading a variety of on-site activities and off-site excursions for international students and group leaders.
Our Courses
Students who attend our summer school courses receive a combination of English language instruction (16.67 hours per week) and a comprehensive program of activities and excursions. The activity program will include daytime and evening activities and at least one half-day and one full-day excursion per week to local attractions and popular tourist locations. Students are required to be supervised all day and evening.
Position Description
An Activity Leader (AL) is responsible for leading international students and their group leaders through a variety of day, evening and weekend activities and excursions through active participation. Successful ALs are expected to assist in the organization and participation of activities, demonstrate leadership, effective communication skills, flexibility, and sensitivity to the needs of international students (young adults or children). This position requires considerable amounts of walking on guided tours, carrying sports equipment from the Center to the fields and moving furniture in preparation for indoor activities.
Working Week depends on residential or non-residential as follows:
1. If residential, this is a temporary full-time position. Monday to Friday consists of three activity sessions - morning, afternoon, and evening. Saturday and Sunday consists of a full-day and an evening activity session. The full-time work week is comprised of morning, afternoon and/or evening shifts, with at least one full day off per week.

Position Responsibilities
• To ensure customer satisfaction in the leading of activities and trips at your Center
• To explain the activities to students and group leaders in a clear and positive manner and keeping them well informed
• To ensure adequate planning & preparation for all activities and trips, ensuring that activities start and finish on time, and clearly explaining meeting points and times
• To guide and enthusiastically and clearly communicate to students about different sightseeing trips or city tours
• To ensure and maintain proper levels of student discipline, welfare and safety of all students during activities
• To inform the Activities Manager and/or the Center Manager about any problems or accidents during an activity or excursion
• To provide feedback on the activities and excursions to the Activities Manager and/or Center Manager
• To carry out residential responsibilities, including meal and bed time supervision and guardian duties, check-in and check-out during weekends and linen exchange based on a rotation schedule
• If necessary, assist with airport greetings responsibilities in collaboration with Airport Greeters, including assisting the Center management staff at the school to meet incoming groups from or sending departing groups off to the airport
Qualifications and Experience
Required:
• Proven experience working with young adults or children
• Knowledge of the local area and leading activities or excursions in the area
• Demonstrates effective communication (written and verbal) and leadership skills
• Demonstrates enthusiasm, diplomacy, patience, and flexibility which are essential when working with international students and group leaders with varying English abilities
• Ability to work with a positive attitude and effectively as part of a dynamic team
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
Desirable:
• First Aid qualification
• Basic money management skills
• Lifeguards and or/ other coaching qualification
• Experience of training for or working in the sport, leisure or similar industry
• Previous experience supervising minors
Compensation depends on residential or non-residential:
1. Residential activity leaders are full-time temporary staff. You will receive a compensation package that includes room & board, and a weekly salary (to be paid bi-weekly). Full-time work consists of 40 hours per week (8 hours per day according to California Labor Law requirements). In addition to your regular pay, you will be paid for any overtime hours worked at the applicable overtime rate(s) as required by law.
2. Non-residential activity leaders are full-time hourly temporary staff with hours based on the immediate needs of the Center and availability. In addition to your regular hourly wage rate, you will be paid for any overtime hours worked at the applicable overtime rate(s) as required by law.
