Energy Efficiency company is seeking a experienced roofer who can do all types of roof including complete tear offs with re-sheeting and re-roofing. About half of our jobs are complete replacement of shake roofs. The more different skills you have in addition to being a carpenter and roofer increases your chance of being hired. (We are talking about skills as an electrician, plumber, insulator, window installer NOT concrete work, landscaping or any ground work.) We want a multi skilled person who is reliable Will be working as part of a team. You must be willing to learn other skills in the field of energy efficiency such as air sealing, insulating and solar installation. And since we are a green company, customer's don't want to smell smoke on you nor have you smoke on their property. So if you cannot do a job without smoking, don't bother to apply. Also, note that if you have a problem with heights, being in tight spaces, asthma, this job probably will not work for you. You will work on roofs, in attics and in crawl spaces. We sometimes run into insects and dead animals in these types of places. You must be willing to do it all in these types of conditions.
