• Pre-screened prospect information sent in real time via text, email, and/or live phone-transfer. Receive name, phone number(s), number of bedrooms needed, location, net after-tax income, animals, and anticipated move-in date
• Return phone calls ASAP, do initial phone due diligence, use script as a guideline Schedule appointments, at the earliest convenience of prospects, to meet and show units
• Schedule appointments, at the earliest convenience of applicants, to meet and show them available units
• "Sell" the units to the most qualified prospects--determine which incentives will attract and retain the best prospects--think creatively!
• Manage and assist the applicants' filling out all forms, collect all monies, obtain all necessary items (application(s), hold deposit, proof of income(s), landlord verification (current and previous), employment verification(s), etc.)
• Submit all documents via FAX or scan/email to property manager for interview and approval/disapproval
• Once approved, meet with new tenant to sign lease, riders, and all disclosures, collect all monies and deposit or deliver to property manager

• Arrange to be on-site during move-in--unlock rear gates and doors, etc.
• On occasion, work with Maintenance Chief to ensure units are "ready-to-show"
• Level of responsibility, tasks, and workload may increase over time as mutually agreed upon
• Bonuses MAY be awarded for meeting sales quotas, etc.
• Work as an independent contractor--no benefits (e.g., no health insurance, no worker's comp, no disability, no unemployment insurance, no deductions, etc.)
• Paid via joint account money transfer (Fifth Third bank) after lease signing with no deductions taken out; you will be working as an independent contractor and are responsible for handling your own schedule, filing your taxes, keeping your own insurance, healthcare, workers comp, etc.

Butcher and the Burger just won Time Out Chicago's Eat Out Best New Burger Joint award! This means we are now looking for two more full time line cooks (and possibly a part time swing cook) able to handle working in an open kitchen with high volume. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, so shift hours reflect this. It's important to know whether you are a naturally a morning person or evening person so we don't set you up for failure when it comes to showing up on time. Scheduling is pretty accommodating and if you are full time, you will always get your 35 - 40+ hours. There is a lot of opportunity to learn about charcuterie, custards, specialty provisions and butchery in the upcoming summer months. Pay is negotiable, but starts at $9.25/hr based on experience. We are looking for cooks who can read tickets in English and speak it fluently, but Spanish is always a plus.



The less boring stuff:

Being in this industry, you spend some long days and late nights in cramped quarters. Please don't be boring. I would rather pull doubles and have no days off for the next two weeks than deal with somebody with a napolean complex or that has no personality. Creativity with food and new ideas are encouraged. It is one of our big philosophies to promote within our restaurant family and there are a lot of opportunities coming up for us to do so for hard working employee. We make fresh custards, charcuterie, specials, etc, and we are a relatively new restaurant. That being said, there is a lot of room to learn and put your stamp on some flavors and recipes of your own. If you're a talented, quick learning cook just looking for some new culinary experiences, also great, because we have a really talented and accomodating kitchen staff. Males and females. Woah.

I may be stating the obvious, but let me say the following things just to be thorough: It's good to have an exciting social life, just don't let it affect your work ethic. We are a staff of good friends who have fun, but hierarchy is an important thing that needs to be respected, especially when it's time for that sweat-breaking crunch.
