Job Summary:
Represents the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of the guest's stay by working with all hotel personnel to ensure every guest experiences superior customer care. Check reservation system for lost messages or reservations.
Review all correction, phone, paid out, laundry vouchers, etc. . . for correct posting.
Post room charges.
Post credit card charges.
Balance hotel summary reports with folios for total charges for the day.
Assemble reports and file audit.
Perform the function of a Guest Service Representative/Agent, including answering the telephone, taking reservations, checking guests in and out.
Prepare groups and transient arrivals that day by blocking rooms and special requests.
Maintains an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments.
Possesses a working knowledge of reservations department. Takes same day reservations and future reservations when necessary. Knows cancellation procedures.
Knowsroom locations, types of rooms available, and room rates.
Registersarriving guests and assigns rooms.
Coordinates room status updateswith the housekeeping department by notifying housekeeping of all check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins, special requests, and part-day rooms.
Coordinates guest room maintenance work with the housekeeping and maintenance division.
Uses persuasive selling techniques to sellrooms and to promote other services of the hotel.
Knows dailyactivities and meetings taking place in the hotel.
Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to the general manager or guest services manager.
Manages and resolves all guest complaints in a professionaland courteous manner.

Qualifications:

Requirements:
*Must be at least 23 years of age
*Must have at least 12 months of verifiable OTR experience within the previous 3 years operating a tractor trailer combination to include at least one year of intermodal and/or OTR experience.
*Must have Class A CDL issued in state of residence.
*Must meet Federal DOT medical requirements and pass a DOT physical at a company qualified clinic prior to leasing on.
*No more than one preventable accident within the preceding thirty-six months. Note: one accident may disqualify an applicant based on the circumstances and severity.
*Individuals convicted of DWI, DUI, refusal to test, or open container while operating a commercial or private motor vehicle (CMV) will be disqualified
