EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
External: Demonstrated success as Supervisor in a service industry. Minimum of 1 year
experience in service industry (Apparel industry desired).

JOB DESCRIPTION:
FINANCIAL-
*Assist with planning, driving, and controlling store sales, shrink, and payroll to achieve goals.
*Assist with establishing, managing and reviewing individual productivity goals vs. results, for
Sales Associates, to achieve sales plan.
*Achieve personal productivity goals.
LEADERSHIP-
*Coach all Sales Associates to maximize sales.
*Foster a positive work environment that encourages ideas and innovative problem solving.
*Assist with researching, creating and fostering entrepreneurial relationships that generate
sales.
*Communicate to inspire and motivate Sales Associates to desired results.
CUSTOMER SERVICE-
*Assist with establishing, teaching and demonstrating uncompromising customer service and
customer satisfaction practices ensuring that skills are utilized by Associates to maximize
sales.
*Assist with training and updating Sales Associates on product knowledge, selling and
operational skills ensuring that skills are utilized to maximize sales and profits.
*Coach and develop Sales Associates to meet productivity expectations.
*Communicate merchandise needs and trends, for the store, to Store Manager in order to
maximize sales.
TECHNICAL-
*Assist with networking, recruiting, selecting, and hiring a diverse staff to achieve and
maintain company objectives.
*Demonstrate, educate, and administer Company best practices, policies and procedures to
ensure Associates and store is in compliance.
*Utilize all Company training tools to assist in the training and development of Sales
Associates to appropriate performance levels.
*Assist in the implementation of the store's succession plan for key positions, ensuring
constant pool of promotable Sales Associates or external candidates.
*Understand and exploit marketing tools, merchandising location, fixturing, and assist with
merchandising presentation to maximize sales.
*Provide and ensure that Associates maintain a safe, healthy and injury free environment for
the general public and staff.

METERMAN JOURNEYMAN – TRAVELING POSITION (NATIONWIDE)
We are seeking hard working, motivated, experienced Meterman Journeyman to join our team for a temporary, contract position that is in response to a potential labor dispute.Pay Rate: $30 per hour -- we generally work an 84hr work week.
Perdiem: $35 per day -- this is paid biweekly on payroll.
Travel to the site and back home at the completion of the assignment is provided.
Lodging is provided for the duration of the assignment.
DEPARTMENT: ELECTRIC METER
DUTIES: Under general directive supervision of the electric meter-working foreman.
Directs apprentices, skilled and semiskilled workers in performing a variety of duties by inspecting, testing, and adjusting electric meters. Plans installation and performs primary and secondary instrument transformer metering, installs current and potential transformers for industrial and commercial customers including the installation and maintenance of electric meters at power plant and substations.
Installs various types of var-demand or var-hour meters and directs the testing of special meters and instrument transformers when needed, assists in standardization laboratory" on assignment in developing and maintaining " working standards" accuracy of equipment.
Investigates and eliminates sources of radio and television interference by patrolling Company lines or checking household appliances for trouble areas.
Maintains a complete record of meter installations, tests and changes made, and costs to meter cards. Maintains a record of special metering equipment on hand, anticipates future needs.
Contacts customers, builders, and contractors to assist them with problems concerning meter wiring and installation.
Instructs personnel in the proper and safe way to perform their duties, and instructs and trains new personnel in the use of tools and equipment.
Conforms with all safety policies as established by the Company, and is responsible for the general safety of subordinates and in administering first aid to injured persons when necessary, complies with apprentice requirements in the training of apprentices.
Performs other related and assigned duties.

Obtains information from installed meters pertaining to meter number and kilowatt-hour reading
on cut-in and cut-out work orders.
Checks installation of meter for safe conditions and determines if electricity is available and
going through the meter properly.
Assists in servicing customer complaints by checking noisy meters, poor grounds, sockets not
properly wired, checks fuses for light, and radio or television distractions, etc.
Conducts all duties in a safe manner in accordance with established safety standards, must be

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies, procedures and applicable laws including; hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and solving problems.
Assists patrons providing excellent service. Works scheduled times at main information desk. Handles comments and complaints regarding materials, staff, facilities, etc. of the Adult/Reference Department.
Provides general and in-depth reference assistance and reader's advisory, using a variety of print and online resources.
Performs all phases of Adult/Reference Department collection development to include evaluating the collection, selecting and purchasing materials, retention, and deselecting. Remains abreast of current, newly published materials in all formats. Meets with vendors to select materials for the collection which include: books, periodicals, online databases and media.
Plans, coordinates and implements innovative programming for adults of all ages as permitted by budgetary allowance. Programs are to meet the expressed or perceived needs of the community. Assists with co-sponsorships of community programs and coordinates adult outreach programs.
Develops and prepares marketing materials for promoting library materials, programs and services.
Participates in the development and maintenance of library web pages by providing updated material, links and information pertaining to Adult Services.
Participates in professional organizations and activities; reads professional journals and books to keep informed of current and emerging trends in public libraries. Assists with county-wide decision making by serving on committees, participating in staff development activities and attending workshops, meetings and conferences.
Coordinates and manages annual departmental budget and prepares budget recommendations as needed.
Prepares various weekly and monthly departmental reports, staff schedules, statistics, documents and correspondence. Maintains appropriate personnel records for department.
Establishes and implements departmental goals, policies and procedures. Also assists the Library Director in the development of library goals and objectives.
Coordinates and trains Staff Pages and interns in library policies and procedures as needed.
Serves as library liaison to various civic, social, educational and cultural organizations. Promotes positive relationships between the library and patrons.
Works cohesively with library department heads and staff to implement departmental advancements and procedural changes.
Serves as Deputy Director in the absence of the Library Director.
Required to perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Considerable knowledge of principles and practices common to modern library operations including the Dewey Decimal system and library operations and systems.
Working knowledge of the principles and practices of office management, work organization and supervision. Must be able to follow directions, have the ability to organize, work under high stress situations and meet deadlines.
Must have excellent customer service and organizational skills and effective verbal and written communication skills. Must have interpersonal communication stills to effectively interact with all age levels and cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Experience with public speaking and making presentations.
Extensive working knowledge of reference resources and reading and media materials for adults, current and classic.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of all computer applications including hardware and software related to performance of the essential functions of the job.
Analytical ability to understand and solve various readers' advisory and reference questions by supplying information well-suited to the patron.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with library patrons, staff and other City personnel. Ability to motivate library staff.
Skill in using tact, discretion, initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
Ability to understand and carry out instructions, giving close attention to detail and accuracy; ability to deal with day-to-day problems and provide solutions. Must think independently and make sound judgments.

Tools and Equipment Used
Windows and MAC computers, automated library management systems and the internet. Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, desktop publishing software and various online databases. Experience with I-Pads, Kindles, Nooks and other E-Readers preferred.
Calculator, copy and fax machines, telephone and automobile.
Physical Demands
Physical ability to stoop, stretch and climb to retrieve and/or shelve materials and conduct programs. Ability to stand for extended periods of time and visual ability to read a computer screen and perform various detailed tasks.
Education and Experience:
Masters Degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited college or university. Library programming experience required. Three to five years professional library experience and supervisory experience preferred.
Salary, Hours and Benefits:
40 hours per week including working a night and rotating weekends. Competitive salary range, $48,886 - $55,787 based on experience. Excellent benefits package.
Special Requirements:
Willing to supervise library on designated weekends and nights. Willing to be on call and available for special programming and events as needed. Must be willing to undergo a drug test and criminal background check.
