Prevention Testing Specialist: Protocol Based Counseling (part-time) (North Central Austin)
Varied schedule, including nights and weekends, 15 hours per week (two positions available)The Prevention Testing Specialist is responsible for the delivery of Protocol Based Counseling for HIV testing using the Department of State Health Services' guidelines. The Prevention Testing Specialist will receive supervision and guidance from the Prevention Programs Manager who oversees Testing.
Essential Tasks:
• Conduct HIV/AIDS prevention outreach and distribute promotional materials in an effort to recruit for HIV Counseling and Testing using innovative approaches such as harm reduction, behavioral theories, and motivational strategies in various community settings.
• Conduct HIV Testing and Counseling utilizing PBC (Protocol Based Counseling).
• Develop innovative campaigns to reach individuals not currently accessing HIV services or prevention interventions, specifically disenfranchised populations, including gay and non-gay identified men, sex workers, the homeless, substance abusers, recently incarcerated individuals, and undocumented people.
• Assist with maintenance of current Condom Distribution Network sites and develop relationships to establish new distribution venues.
• Assist with monthly testing data compilation as needed.
• Maintain appropriate and timely documentation of all prevention services delivered.
• Assist the Director of Prevention and the Prevention Program Manager with departmental activities, generating monthly and quarterly reports and maintaining internal supplies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of HIV, health education, community resources, or related field
• Skill in operating personal vehicle for prevention department activities and ability to maintain vehicle liability insurance
• Skill in operating various office equipment, such as personal computer, calculator, copy machine, facsimile machine, and telephone system
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to work comfortably with diverse populations, with sensitivity to issues concerning HIV and all disabilities
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to make decisions in accordance with agency policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Ability to perform routine walking/standing/bending/lifting/stooping during the course of day
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Ability to deliver services in nontraditional environments
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in conducting street or community outreach, HIV prevention service delivery, or substance abuse/prevention outreach
• Previous training in PBC (Protocol Based Counseling) preferred
• Experience providing HIV testing using OraQuick and OraSure preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

The Software Tester will execute daily testing tasks on our game content; this role reports directly to the QA Project Lead.
NOTE: This is an on-site contract/temporary position; relocation assistance will not be provided.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Execute various testing tasks on game content.
• Work as a member of a testing team.
• Submit defect reports and provide qualitative feedback on new content.
• Collaborates with team analysts to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
• 1 years of software QA experience is an asset
• Experience in MMORPG raiding or raid testing is required.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding design specification documents
• Understanding of the software development process
• Able to complete assigned work in order of established priorities
• Exemplary oral communication and interpersonal skills (cross-functional team environments)
• Focus on continuous improvement

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation as well as insurance
• 2-5 years experience working in a professional office environment
• Possesses exceptional interpersonal and client relations skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
