Balloon Artists for Local Restaurants – We Train You (Birmingham Area)

We are Balloon Distractions. We are looking for Talented, Outgoing, Intelligent, and Dependable people to make balloon shapes for patrons in local restaurants. These positions are great for (but not limited to) High School and College Students. You will receive training and make tips when you work. Each shift is usually just 4 hours. Some shifts are night time, others are in the day or morning. Average tips for a shift is $60, but can easily be over $80 or more. How much you make is up to you and how many tables you approach, how well you come across, how well you make your balloon characters, and make the patrons happy. We post the available restaurants, and you pick which restaurants and how many shifts to work each week. We also provide liability insurance to protect you. AAA Parking is currently looking for a Doorman at our Sheraton Birmingham location. The successful candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule.

AAA Parking offers all full-time associates medical/dental coverage after 90 days, paid holidays after 6 months and 1 week of paid vacation after 1 year of employment.

The successful candidate must be able to carry out the responsibilities and expectations listed below:

Expectations
• Meet/greet guests
• Open doors
• Clean working area/neat & tidy
• Give directions
• Monitor driveway to ensure cars are being parked efficiently
• Keep entrance to hotel clear
• Hail taxi to front door
• Control parking
• Must be computer literate
• General knowledge of locations and major routes
• Good verbal communication skills
• Hotel emergency procedures
• Complete knowledge of hotel layout and facilities
• Awareness of specialist facilities/services for disabled people
• Safety policy procedures
• Willing to work days, night weekends and holidays
• Ability to handle cash and credit cards (overnight and transient) transactions

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Doorman or Concierge in a hotel
• Prior guest services, customer services or resident services experience in a luxury residential
building or hotel required
• Effective written, oral and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of personal computers
• Ability to handle assigned level of responsibility
• Ability to apply good judgment and maintain composure in high pressured situations
• High school diploma or equivalent, some college course work preferred
• Must have the ability to maintain our company’s professional standards and be willing to work
various irregular shifts including the overnight shift
