Fun, short-term opportunity to live out your 15 minutes of fame! The Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA)
is recruiting outgoing and enthusiastic individuals to help promote the Museum’s special exhibition,
Andy Warhol: The Last Decade (October 17, 2010 – January 9, 2011).


RESPONSIBILITIES

- Make appearances as Andy Warhol in his iconic fright wig and sunglasses at events throughout the Baltimore area

- Serve as a BMA ambassador in the community by raising awareness of the Museum

- Distribute a variety of promotional materials at citywide events including the Baltimore Book Festival and City Paper’s “Best of Baltimore” party

- Assist with on-site promotion at BMA events including the BMA Members Preview Party

REQUIREMENTS

- Must be able to communicate with audiences and members of the public in a professional, enthusiastic manner

- Possess punctuality and strong problem-solving skills

- Requires flexible schedule and ability to work evenings and weekends

- Able to stand, walk, or move for up to 8 hours

- Must have access to reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license

- Must be at least 18 years old

EXPERIENCE

- Promotional experience a plus

- Background in theater, arts, and/or marketing preferred

- Knowledge of Baltimore area desirable

SCHEDULE

Evening and weekend availability required. BMA Street Team Members will be scheduled anywhere from one to eight hours per shift (depending on the event) and must commit to working a minimum of three required events and three “drop –in” events from the months of September to December 2010. Attendance at a paid two-hour training session is required on September 20, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m.

COMPENSATION & PERKS

Pay rate is $10/hour. BMA Street Beat Team members will also receive a 20% discount at The BMA Shop and a 15% discount at Gertrude’s restaurant for the duration of employment. Parking costs for events will be reimbursed.

Conveyor Installer (Jessup, MD)

We are looking for a couple of conveyor installers for a 4 week project in Jessup, just south of Baltimore. Scheduled to start Sept.13th -14th. This will be a night shift job with overtime. Network Security (Woodlawn, MD)

PRISM is looking to immediately hire an IT Network Security Intrusion Detection Analyst to work in a government Woodlawn facility Monday through Friday.

This analyst will be responsible for utilizing an array of security tools; Arcsight, Sourcefire, BlueCoat and Dragon for monitoring a Federal Agency’s network.

We are looking for a highly motivated IDS analyst who enjoys learning and working on new and exciting projects!


Job Responsibilities

1. Investigates, identifies, evaluates and documents foreign systems and instrumentation.

2. Continuously monitors levels of service as well as interprets and prioritizes threats through use of intrusion detection systems, firewalls and other boundary protection devices, and any security incident management products deployed.

3. Recognizes potential, successful, and unsuccessful intrusion attempts and compromises thorough reviews and analyses of relevant event detail and summary information.

4. Generates end-of- night shift reports for documentation and knowledge transfer to subsequent analysts on duty.

5. Ensures the integrity and protection of networks, systems, and applications by technical enforcement of organizational security policies, through monitoring of vulnerability scanning devices.

6. Monitors and proactively mitigates information security risks.

7. Recommends, develops, monitors and enforces information security policies.

8. Reports changes, trends and implications regarding design and integration of evolving systems and instrumentation.

9. Prepares briefings and reports of analysis methodology and results.

10. Maintains knowledge of relevant current security tools as assigned.

11. This contract supports 24/7 operation and the successful candidate must be willing and able to work some weekends and must be able to work slightly altered regular hours (i.e., 6am to 2pm or 10am to 6pm).


Training Required Requires BS/BA degree.

Experience : Requires 2-5 years experience.


1. Good analytical and problem solving skills

2. Interpersonal skills to interact with customers, team members and upper management

3. Excellent communication skills to effectively annotate findings in both written and oral form

4. Good skills in implementing and configuring networks and network components

5. Ability to work with relational databases

6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

7. Experience with ArcSight, BlueCoat, Cisco Mars, Enterasys Dragon.

8. Ability to write signatures/rules.
