One position is full-time mostly PM shift from 3-11pm and the other is part-time night audit from 11p-7a. The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day. All associates must realize this fact and be aware that at all times it may be necessary to move associates from their accustomed shift and alter assigned duties as business dictates. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be maintained at all times.

Payrate

• $10.50 /hr for day shift 10:00am-7:00PM
• $11.00/hr for night shift 8:00pm - 5:00am

Otis Spunkmeyer is looking for experienced mechanics to work in our 24 hour operation plant in Austin TX. The ideal candidate for this position must be multi-skilled, having strong mechanical, electrical and pneumatics exposure and skills. 5 + years of experience required in both disciplines of mechanical and electrical, in the repair and preventive maintenance of food manufacturing equipment. Experience in the baking industry is preferred. Must have ability to troubleshoot field components to PLC’s, VFD, and 3 Phase electrical. Able to read blue prints (some German and Italian), logs and electrical drawings. Experience in scales, Form and Fill baggers, Wire cut extruders, freezers, mixers, bulk handling conveyors equipment is desired., welding, fabrication, pneumatics, hydraulics, CMMS data entry experience is desired. HVAC, ammonia refrigeration would be a plus Must be well organized, self starter, able to work as part of a team, have excellent problem solving skills and be able to work under minimum supervision. Able to communicate effectively with all levels of plant staffing, plant manager to maintenance staff in a diverse environment. General computer skills, and proficiency in reading and writing English is required. This is a Multi shift operation, Shift rotation is not needed unless of attrition demands, applicants must be able to work night hours. Weekends are also required. Days off are rotated every 3 months. Building is climate controlled.


Responsibilities will include:
• Maintenance and repairs of property, silos, and manufacturing line equipment.
• Maintain production and facilities equipment
• Complete PMs as scheduled
• Follow all company safety guidelines, FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation processes/procedures and HACCP
• Recognize cost savings opportunities and implement
• Other duties as assigned by supervision and lead persons

(8am until the job is done) and 2 night shift leads (4:30pm until job is done) but our workload changes so flexibility is critical.
- Ability to pass background and drug screen (no felonies for 7 years, no theft of violence related misdemeanors, no pending charges)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow direction
- Self starter - able to identify work that needs to be done and do it (or assign to crew) without being instructed to do so
