Looking for RN or LPN for in-home care (Albany area)

Happy and devoted couple, dealing with the progression of ALS in a home environment. Looking for someone who is honest, patient, reliable and motivated with a positive attitude, for help with in home care. Tasks and responsibilities vary with scheduled shift. Flexible hours, but looking for someone who can work (at least) two shifts per week. Personal transportation and valid drivers license required.

Must be RN or LPN certified.

Morning shift: 5am – 10am
Night shift: 9pm – 2am
Hours somewhat flexible

Tasks include Hoyer lift transfers, body adjustments, learning and using Vocalize board as the main form of communication, acting as a personal television remote controller, and administering scheduled medications and “snacks” through a G-tube. No toilet trips or baths required.

Service and Hospitality Manager

You must be an effective and consistent leader through out the entire FOH operations and an experienced resource for all FOH staff members each day. You are here to solve problems, ensure and enhance guest service as well as control the profitability and margin controls under your direction. You are to over see all FOH staff and report to your General Manager on all financial planning, marketing, human resource issues and legal questions. Your primary duty is to oversee, train and mentor all subordinates and create culture to ensure smooth operations and outstanding hospitality both in your absence and of course while you’re present.

Ensure or perform the following: Work in conjunction with the other service and the bar managers to ensure that all of our guests have a positive experience and their expectations have been exceeded in accordance with our 12 connections of service

A.M. Guest Service Operations:
1. Complete the daily paperwork to include the “Kaizen”, station assignments and the shift coordinators focus sheet. Conduct the A.M. server focus meeting
2. Field all phone calls and respond as needed
3. Ensure the quality of the daily FOH cleaning by carefully going through the cleaning checklist
4. Set up cash drawers for the bar and express line
5. Ensure opening procedures of the restaurant and make sure all staff members have reported on time. Take care off all FOH staffing issues resulting from absenteeism or tardiness
6. Have obsessive passion for cleanliness during operations in areas like the floor, wait stations, entrance doors, waiting areas, under tables and the rest rooms
7. Oversee the front of the house staff, guest relations, problem solving, reservation management and employee relations during peak volume and on to the end of the shift. Carefully follow all company comping and voiding procedures as well as table visits and validations of the guest experience
8. Address staffing challenges by “jumping in” at the express counter, host area and bar if needed
9. Provide guidance to FOH staff, make floor cuts, check out silverware rolling and side work standards, complete the cashing out of drawers and servers as requested and prepare the night express and bar drawers as needed. Carefully follow all cash out and money-handling procedures at all times.
10. Provide communication between all managers pertaining to operations, personnel and products each shift that you are responsible for
11. Ensure a smooth transition of the restaurant and make sure all staff members have reported on time for the P.M. shift. Take care off all FOH staffing issues resulting from absenteeism or tardiness. Make sure that every server is aware of all information on the shift focus sheet that comes in before the shift meeting.

“Director of Nice Touches”: Restaurant Cleanliness & Ambiance Enhancement

• Work with the entire management team to ensure complete restaurant cleanliness and detail enhancement each and every day. From the moment you walk into the restaurant begin scanning the details in all areas including lighting, temperature, cleaning details, the bar area and the bathrooms

People Development, Leadership and Communication:

• Training- Develop and maintain all FOH training materials and procedures, ensure that all FOH new hires are properly reviewed and ensure that all posted FOH information is current and correct

• Perform evaluations for all staff members under your supervision.

• Accountability and standards held each and every day and when necessary documentation completed for non-compliance of policy and procedures

Dispatcher – Trucking – Night Shift (Albany, NY)

Overview/Business Environment

This position will have you using your tractor trailer dispatch skills in a fast paced, time sensitive environment. Grocery Haulers provides trucking and distribution services to the food industry throughout the greater NYC metropolitan area and upstate. The Company continues to grow and expand to keep pace with the market demands for excellence and efficiency in this business segment. The successful candidate will report to the Terminal Manager and will work closely with other dispatchers and managers in the logistics and operations areas. Standard four night workweek with a need for some flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily communication and interaction with drivers when assigning work. Maintain positive relations with drivers and customers
• Organize and conduct activities to assure safe, cost-effective, on-time operating performance.
• Track and report sign-in/sign-out times, assures routes are timely, and communicate service issues.
• Takes service monitor calls and communicates issues with drivers and Terminal Manager.
• Monitors telephones and on-board computer systems for quality.
• Assists Operations Supervisor to ensure appropriate workforce level each day.
• Responsible for influencing positive employee morale and quality customer service. Address driver problems as they arise.
• Assignment of work duties to qualified employees to ensure adequate coverage of all shifts and assigned routes consistent with D.O.T. regulations.
• Monitors driver performance.
• Notes all absences and/or tardiness issues and communicates same to Terminal Manager.
• Screens route sheets and performance reports.
• All other duties, as assigned.

Key Attributes

• Experience in freight/transportation industry. Past dispatch experience.
• Prior work with tandems/doubles
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure.
• Computer knowledge and ability to maintain electronic records
• Working knowledge of D.O.T. regulations (hours of service, CDL, drug and alcohol testing)
• Knowledge of roads systems in Northeast.
• Capable of working various shifts and weekends.
• Must pass and pre-employment drug test.
